What To Expect From Therapy

A key to having a good therapeutic experience is finding the right therapist and being informed about the therapeutic process. Often we are able to assess what the problem is, but the why is much more elusive.

A goal of therapy is to uncover truths about who you are and identify what may be holding you back. I will work with you to help uncover these truths by attuning with the unconscious processes that drive you. These unconscious mechanisms will reveal themselves through what happens in therapy sessions by exploring your past and present relationships and reflecting on significant life events. As your awareness of your unconscious increases, you will be able to gain deeper insight and understanding of yourself.

I work with individuals, teens, couples, and families who may be experiencing a wide variety of issues. Some issues that I have experience working with include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, lack of purpose, grief and loss, shame and guilt, and addiction.
